Central California, especially coastal central California, has been a landscape that I have long admired. And, a landscape which I have traveled widely and seen much of—enjoyed time and time again. It's a fine place of great diversity and beauty, from Big Sur to Mount Whitney and beyond.
The painting, Central California, uses a technique I often employ: painting over a previously painted canvas, which becomes the basis of the texture for the new effort and replaces the disappointment of the original attempt.
